Important Instructions For SSC GD PET/PST

Important instruction to the candidates


 The call letter to appear for the Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test is purely PROVISIONAL.



1- If at any stage it is found that you do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, your candidature is liable to be canceled and no appeal against such cancellation will be entertained. Hence you are advised to kindly ensure properly that you fulfill all the eligibility conditions given in the recruitment advertisement. It is mandatory to bring all documents pertaining to Caste, domicile on the basis of which exemption being claimed in height, chest, and age, etc.

2-It is compulsory to bring admit card for the Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test. The candidate will be permitted to appear at the PST/PET center as shown in their admit card and not any other center. No change will be entertained what so ever. 

3- Candidates should bring any one of the original evidence duly affixed his/her photograph for identity such as driving license, Voter ID, Adhar Card, PAN Card, I/card issued by School & College with them otherwise he will not be allowed to enter the examination center. 

4- Candidate reporting for the PST/PET are advised to ensure that they are fully eligible and fulfill all prescribed PST/PET standards, as already published in the Employment News dated 21-27 July 2018 while notifying the vacancies of Constable (GD) and they may also search it, in the web site of SSC, https:// www.ssc.nic.in

5- Candidates are advised not to carry valuable items with them like mobile phone/cellular/ Ipad & laptop etc. Examination Centre will not be responsible for any loss. Since no facility will be available for the safekeeping of personal belongings. 


6- The left thumb impression of the candidates will be taken during PST/PET. Therefore candidates should ensure to keep their left thumb in proper (neat & clean) state. 

7- No journey fare is admissible for appearing in the PST/PET. Arrangement for boarding/lodging will be borne by the candidates themselves. 

8- You should bring your own sports kit for appearing in the PST/PET. 

9- The candidates appearing in PST/PET must bring four latest passport size photographs with them required to be affixed with details while filling particulars at the examination center. 

10- Pregnancy at the time of PST/PET will be a disqualification and candidature of the pregnant females will be rejected. Female candidates themselves will responsible for any mishap, during PET, caused due to pregnancy and suppression thereof.

11- The Ex-serviceman who will be shortlisted in Computer Based Examination will have to appear in PET/PST stage for recording measurement of height, chest, and weight only. PET will not be held for these Ex-serviceman candidates. Further, they will have to qualify a medical examination (DME). 

12- The OBC candidate should ensure that they are in possession of the valid OBC certificate as required as published in recruitment advertisement which should be issued before the last date of receipt of an application or within 03 years otherwise they will appear in PET at their own risk, and if found otherwise liable to be rejected. 

13- This is the candidate's copy to be kept with the candidate till the declaration of the final result. It should be shown in the examination center while entering for the examination center and produced on asking by the board or any other officer conducting examination

14- Candidate will be fully responsible for any incident/ injury occurring during PST/PET and PST/PET center. Candidate should ensure his physical fitness before undergoing 5km/1.6 km race. Department & Government will not be responsible for the same.

15- As per write-up uploaded on 20/06/2019 by SSC on website www.ssc.nic.in while declaring result of Computer Based Examination, Candidates has been directed that in case any discrepancy with respect to the candidate’s data/ result be brought to the Notice of the SSC by 31/07/2019 along with a copy of the printout of the Online Application Form. All such candidates appearing for PST/PET may bring a copy of the document regarding the submission of their representation to SSC and be produced before the Recruitment Board for needful. 

16- Candidates are advised not to use performance-enhancing drugs for PET. Any candidate found under the influence of any energetic medicine during PET will be debarred for further process of recruitment
