The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for the recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix – Level-1), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories.
Vacancies:
1 Vacancies will be determined in due course. Updated vacancies will be uploaded on the website of the Commission from time to time (https://ssc.nic.in->Candidate’s Corner-> Tentative Vacancy).
Reservation:
Reservation for the Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC) /Ex-servicemen (ESM)/ Persons with Disabilities (PwD)/ Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) etc. categories will be as per extant Govt. Orders.

The Commission makes the selection of candidates in accordance with the vacancies reported by the concerned User Departments for various posts. The Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies of any User Department. Implementation of reservation policy, maintaining reservation roster and earmarking of vacancies for different categories are under the domain of the concerned User Departments.
Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Answer Keys, in due course after the Computer Based The examination will be placed on the website of the Commission (https://ssc.nic.in). Any representation regarding answer keys received within the time limit fixed by the Commission at the time of uploading of the answer keys will be scrutinized and the decision of the commission in this regard will be final. No representation regarding Answer keys shall be entertained, afterward.
Marks scored by candidates in Paper-I will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
[Syllabus] - Paper -II
Short Essay/Letter in English or in any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.
Marks - 50
Duration -30 minutes (40 minutes for the candidates eligible for Disabled).
Paper-II will be of the descriptive type in which the candidate will be required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution
Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.
Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.
