SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam Review 11 August Math and English

As we all know that today (11.09.2019) onwards SSC CGL 2018 Tier-2 exam is getting started. Many Candidates appeared for this exam on day 1 and many more will appear for it in coming days. In this post, we have given overall exam review and questions asked on SSC CGL 2018 Tier 2, based on Students Feedback.



Exam Pattern : (SSC CGL 2018 Tier-2 Paper-2)
  • Exam duration is of 120 minutes (2 Hour).
  • The Total Number of Questions for the Exam is: 200
  • The Total Marks for the Exam is: 200
  • Negative Marking for every wrong answer: -0.25


Timing and Punctuality: 

  • Maths : 10:00 to 12:00
  • English : 3:00 to 5:00 (PM)

SSC is very strict about punctuality, the aspirants reached after 09:30 a.m. (for Maths) were not allowed to enter.


Server and Center Management:

The overall review regarding TCS Server was good. Server Speed was quite improved and better than in previous years.
Cheating and other irregularities: 

This time SSC took it very sincerely. There were multiple frisking and it was done properly.  TCS Lab assistants were also active in most centers.

ENGLISH

REVIEW:

  • Level of Paper 2 (English) was easy.
  • Exam pattern was similar to previous years.
  • No new surprise questions on English Grammar, typical previous year pattern with new sentences.
  • The whole paper was Jumbled, except for cloze test and RC. 
  • Idioms were asked in Fill in the blanks way, i.e. A sentence with blank was given and four idioms were given as options.
  • Most of the vocabulary was previous year


Ideal attempt 180-190 with 90% accuracy.

Maths (Quantitative Aptitude) 

REVIEW:

  • Level of paper 1 (Maths) was Easy to Moderate
  • Paper seems to be quite lower difficulty level (easier) as seen in SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 exam. 
  • Some Questions asked were directly formula based.
  • A few calculative questions were also present.
  • More or less level of paper was similar to Tier 1 of ssc cgl 2018.
  • We advise having basics clear questions asked are repetitive (tcs conducted cgl 2018 tier 1).
  • Its good to revise the Tier 1 papers than 2017 tier 2papers of Maths.

Easy Questions : 60-70
Moderate Questions : 20-25
Tough Questions : 8-10

Ideal attempt 75-85 with 90% accuracy.
